Academic Counseling

Online Academic Counseling is available for admitted international students who need guidance with program and/or course selection, an education plan or researching university transfer options. Email  intlstu@piercecollege.edu for more information or call (818) 719-6417.

English as a Second Language Classes

International student applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency as part of the application process. View our English Proficiency Requirements to learn more.

International students are eligible to enroll in credit level English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. These courses count for unit credit and prepare students for academic reading and writing. Some of the advanced level ESL courses are transferable at the university level.

Enrolling in credit level ESL classes requires some basic English proficiency. We encourage applicants to take one of our accepted English proficiency exams to determine admissions eligibility. International students who need to take ESL classes may take them along with their academic program courses.
