What is an Associate Degree?

The Associate Degree is an undergraduate degree that typically takes two to three years to complete. It is a post-secondary degree typically offered by community colleges or technical schools. Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC) offers associate degrees in over 86 majors. This includes Associate Degrees for Transfer.

What is an Associate Degree for Transfer (AD-T)? LAPC offers a way to help you transfer to a California State University (CSU) campus. The simplified process allows students who earn an AD-T to attain guaranteed admission to the CSU system and priority consideration into your major or one deemed similar and enter as a "junior" or third-year student.

Pierce's university transfer agreements and high transfer rates allow our online students to complete an undergraduate degree at a reduced cost without housing and travel expenses.
