STUDENTS NEW TO COLLEGE

If you have never taken college courses, follow the steps below to get started at Pierce College and register for classes. By completing steps 3, 4, and 5, by the DEADLINE you will benefit from priority registration.

2. APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

3. COMPLETE ONLINE ORIENTATION

Please log in to the Student Portal and click "Student Status" then "Orientation".

4. CHECK YOUR ENGLISH & MATH ASSESSMENT RESULTS

Please log in to your Student Portal to click on "Student Status" then "Assessment Results". If there are no assessment results posted, please speak with a Counselor.

5. SCHEDULE YOUR NEW STUDENT COUNSELING GROUP

During the New Student Counseling session, you will get all the information you need to start your academic career right, including information on majors, classes to take and how to plan your schedule. You must have your English and Math placements, as well as the Online Orientation completed prior to scheduling the group session. You can register for the groups up to 2 weeks in advance; new sessions will open up for registration every Monday and Wednesday. Please log in 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of your session.
