Graduation Petition Process
In order to have degrees awarded and noted on a transcript, students need to submit a Graduation Petition online.
A Graduation Petition can be submitted directly through the SIS student portal by following these instructions.
Students who have completed all requirements for the following:
- IGETC Certification
- CSUGE Certification
- Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT)
- Associate of Arts (AA)/ Associate of Science (AS)
- Certificates
Contact the Welcome Center to verify receipt of non-LACCD transcripts and scores.
No, a counseling appointment is not required to submit a Graduation Petition. Students can apply directly for their degrees through the SIS Portal.
Upon completion of your final semester at Pierce College, the Graduation Office will contact you by email. All communication is done through your student email account. Check your email regularly for status updates.
The Graduation Office can assist you with questions about the issuance of diplomas and certificates. They are located in the Student Services Building, 1st floor and can be reached by email: @email
If you are unable to submit the Graduation Petition on your own through the SIS student portal, a Counselor can assist you. A counseling appointment is required, petitions will not be submitted during Express Counseling hours.
Graduation evaluations begin after final grades have posted for the term you will complete your graduation requirements.
- Transcripts: Once the Graduation Office has verified you completed all degree/certificate requirements, your official LACCD transcripts will be updated with the degree/certificate you completed.
- Diplomas: Will be mailed to you after evaluations have been completed.
- Duplicate Diplomas: Duplicate diplomas may be ordered through Parchment Diploma Services at a cost of $10 each.
