Telescope Night
Thursday, May 25, 2023
Actual start time is about 30 minutes after sunset (ranging from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) until 10 p.m.
Location is the Patio next to the big blue dome, 2nd Floor, Center for the Sciences.
Join us for an evening under the stars. We'll have telescopes to look at the planets (Venus, Mars, Jupiter, plus the moon) as well as some binary star systems, some nebulae, and maybe even some galaxies. If you have a telescope but you've never gotten around to setting it up, come by and we'll show you how! If you've ever wanted to see the sky with your own eyes, this is the event for you.
Everyone is invited. Students and employees of Pierce College and any member of the public. We'll have chairs for little kids to stand on to look through the telescopes.
