LAPC Theatre Presents Musical Production "Rent"

Set in Manhattan in the 1990s and inspired by Puccini's opera La Bohème, the groundbreaking musical Rent by Jonathan Larson follows a group of young East Village artists, performers and philosophers as they struggle through the hardships of poverty, societal discord and the AIDS epidemic in the search for life, love and art. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Rent will open in the Performing Arts Mainstage Theatre on the Pierce College campus on Friday, May 5 and continue with performances on May 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14. Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are priced at $15 for students, $20 for seniors and $25 for general admission. Park free in Lot #6. LAPC Theatre’s venues are fully accessible to those with mobile disabilities and hearing impairments.
