2:30 pm - 4:30 pm Academic "Gagarine" - French Film for Multicultural Day

As part of Multicultural Day, the French Film Festival will show "Gagarine" (2021) [95 min], a poetic, sensitive and beautifully photographed movie is set in a multi-ethnic immigrant suburb of Paris.  Followed by a Q&A with Prof. Patricio Gallegos, Department of Art and Architecture. In the Multicultural Center (1st floor Library building). 

Yuri lives in the housing complex Gagarine. It's a run down place where people know each other and look out for one another. Yuri cares about the houses and does everything he can to make them liveable, for everyone. His mission is to save them from demolition. This is a movie about a young boy fighting to keep his world.
