Financial Aid Calendar

FAFSA Priority deadlines

• The 2022-2023 FAFSA application cycle begins October 1, 2021.
• March 2, 2022 is the priority deadline for the 2022-2023 FAFSA application for the Fall 2022 term.
• For Pell Grants, a valid electronically processed FAFSA must be received by the college from the U.S. Department of Education before the last day of the term for which the student is enrolled.

Cal Grant deadline

• March 2, 2022 - Students must submit the 2022-2023 FAFSA by the March 2, 2022 deadline to apply for Entitlement and Competitive Cal Grants
• September 2, 2022 - Second chance deadline for community college students to apply for a Cal Grant B. Since the number of awards available in September is limited, it is best to submit the FAFSA by March 2nd, 2022.

Verification documents

Students selected for verification and/or need to resolve conflicting information must submit all required documents by the last day of the term that they are enrolled; otherwise, students will forfeit their financial aid.

Professional Judgements (Income adjustment, Dependency Override)
Note: Students must complete verification process prior to submitting a professional judgement.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) disqualification petition deadline

• Summer 2022: August 12, 2022
• Fall 2022: November 30, 2022
  • Students who are enrolled for the Winter 2023 intersession will have until end of business on January 21, 2023 to submit Petitions for Disqualification, 2nd Petitions, and requests to change approved courses for previously approved Extension Petitions. Please note that the Winter Intersession is part of the Fall term.
• Spring 2023: May 12, 2023
• Summer 2023: August 11, 2023

Student Loans (Direct Loan)

Note: Students must have a financial aid package to request for a student loan. The online request is still under construction. Please check our website under Loans for updates.

Note: Student must have a financial aid package to apply for a Direct Loan Students may start submitting Loan Requests for the fall 2019 starting August 1, 2019.
